I recently acquired star wars: knights of the old republic for my computer. I had been playing it for about 10 hours with no problems at all. Then i got to the next level and it will never load, the game justs keeps on freezing and the "report to microsoft" thing keeps on showing up. I already tried to lower the textures and installed patches.

I have 512 mbs ram, an Amd anthlon 1600+ palmino oced to 1700+, microsoft windows xp professional, creative labs sound blaster audigy mp3 +, at radeon 8500 with catalyst 3.5 drivers, and a gigabyte dual bios GA-7DXR+ motherboard.

Might want to try reducing the OC and installing the newest Catalyst drivers first

That game actually has a bunch of bugs. Try disabling the hardware mouse, or lowering the sound quality, even switch it to software if you don't have a newer sound card. It has problems at resolutions higher than 1024x768 as well. I had problems with it as well, but since I disabled hardware mouse it runs fine.

Disable vpu recovery, and fast write and see if that helps any
