I need help because i found a new driver update for my 7600 GS.
So i downloaded the new driver. and i would want to know how to replace it. So do i need to uninstall the previous driver, or i could just install the new driver without uninstalling the new one?

Personally, I do not remove the old driver when I update it with a new driver. What do the rest of {IC} do? Do you uninstall and install the new or just install over the old driver?

Personally I just install the new one on top, unless it's a brand new card.

The installer packages are pretty good theses days. Unless I am having problems with the old driver or moving to a new card I also just install over the top. If you are nervous about doing it "correctly" just uninstall the old, reboot, install the new. Done.

Unless you're switching between an Nvidia and ATI card, I think it's okay to update your drivers just by installing over the old one. I wouldn't worry about uninstalling the old one or doing any crazy driver cleaning business unless I ran into problems.

Once you've installed it, you just restart the PC and that's pretty much it- you're good to go!

It will automatically replace the old one. It'll just be listed as "NVIDIA drivers" in your control panel. So there's no need to remove the old one :)
