Never seen this before-any suggestions?

Hi all,

for the past couple of days I have the following problem: a lot of my accounts (hotmail, gmail, rapidshare, etc) have had their password changed without me doing anything.

As a result I cannot log in to my email accounts and I am really worried about the rest of my accounts (which dont seem to have been compromised so far, but who knows).

In your opinio, what happened and what are the steps i should take to fix this in the most efficient way?

thanks in advance for the help.

Well you maybe have backdoor bot or other trojan which steals your accounts names and passwords.

If that is the case, what is a sure-fire way to get rid of it and make sure it never comes back again?

    Hi

Well we can get rid of it very easy if you follow correctly my instructions and install latests updates including Anti-virus and firewall + other malware protection.

Before we can begin cleaning progress i need Hijackthis log to see what infections you maybe have and make proper instruction.

Step 1 - Downloading HijackThis and creating a log!

    Download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.
    • Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
    • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
    • Click on Install.
    • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
    • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
    • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
    • Save the log to a convenient location as you'll need to post it soon.
    • Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
    • Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
