Use my computer monitor with a PS2 - how?

Somehow get my very haggard Ps2 to work on it? I've seen VGA to S-video, and I'm wondering if there's any magic behind those?

No, they are not a standard translation because there is no active rebuild of the signal. Your text might be a little fuzzy, it really takes a translation box to actively resend the video signal. Just playing video is fine though.

So a VGA to Composite/S-Video would work on my monitor? ARe you saying this is true? The first thing I thought of works?

Yes but text is going to be blurry. Small text will almost completely unreadable and large text will appear as though you cannot focus, like you are not wearing your glasses or you just had your eyes horribly dilated. To correct this issue requires a translation box, like I said, but if you are just trying to play video ya you are good to go.

Well, I plan to put my PS2 on it and play some games, but I wonder...Would the same work for a normal CRT monitor...
