BSOD Stop Error

edited December 2008 in Hardware
Hi. Hopefully someone can help. In the past couple of days I started getting the BSOD with the following Stop errors codes:

0X0000008E (0XC0000005,0X8054B20A,0XA4A6692C,0X00000000)

and got this one a little while ago:

0X0000008E (0XC0000005,0XBF01193,0XAD73EA48,0X00000000)
Win32k.sys Address BF801193 base at BF800000 Datestamp 48ce513a

They seem to happen when I'm playing games. Everything seems to be running fine and then BSOD. I was playing games off and on all day (COD4 and Americas Army) and everything was fine. Then while playing Americas Army, the system stuttered and the BSOD came up.

I ran memtest and everything checked out.
I was using RivaTuner to control the fan on the vid card, which is an EVGA 8800GTS 512. I uninstalled that because it seems that I was getting the BSOD when it was open. But I got the BSOD even after uninstalling it.
I've ran virus scan, with Avast, and it was clean
Ran Spybot and I use the Spybot Tea-Timer to watch what gets changed in the registry, scan was clean
Ran CCleaner to clean up registry
Ran Mal-Ware Bytes and it was clean.

If this helps heres my system specs:
MSI K9N4 SLI-F AM2 NVidia nForce 500
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600
3GB Mushkin RAM
EVGA 8800GTS 512
Western Digital 250GB HD
550W Power Supply
Windows XP Pro

I'm at wits end. I was going to try and do a system restore but not sure if that will work.

I also ran HiJack this and here's the log:

Hey melvin. Welcome to Icrontic. You're probably going to have to do a full reformat, I'm sorry to say. Luckily, your system should be stable enough to do a decent back-up.

How are your system temps? Also, have you tested your memory one stick at a time in Slot 1 with Memtest86?

Hey Buddy. Thanks for the reply. I took my comp outside this morning and dusted it out. A couple of the fans were caked with dirt. Seems to be running fine. Was probably overheating due to the dust, hopefully.
