No Autoplay for DVD-ROM

When you put in a disc the name of the disc should be seen under my computers for that ROM and it would usually continue to spin in the ROM. Also when you right click the ROM there should be an option that says autoplay. For some reason i dont have my autoplay. I checked in my registry to see if it was disabled but it's just plain not there.


Does anyone know how to get this back?

    Does this happen to all your discs? Including ones you know have the autoplay option (from previous experience).

    if you right click on the drive, when there isn't a disk in it and then go into properties. Is there a tab for Autoplay?

    yes, the autoplay tab is there

    Does autoplay work otherwise? You might try the Autoplay Repair Wizard.
