HP Omnibook 6000 Boot Password

Hi am new here and have a question.

I noticed from doing a search that this has been covered once but not answered.

I have this laptop that i bought from a auction and i cant do anything with it as it has a boot password, i have managed to get the Hash which is 07749 but there is only one person that will help me and he wants 25 euro for the master password. Surely there is somebody else that can help with this as other people are in the same situation as me.

    Please read the reply to this thread. There is no master password; you will need to call HP support.

    I have tried phoneing theme before and they couldnt help me as the serial number etc i gave them wansnt comeing up on there system and they cant do anything, i dont know if its because its an old machine but i have tried doing this online and its the same outcome.

    Whats this hash all about as well

    A hash code is a string of letters or numbers that's generated from the original password. The code can be reversed to reveal the password, but only if you know the original algorithm used to convert the real password into the code.
