It's less than a month away from release and I am personally stoked for it to come out. The first FEAR was and probably still is one of the scariest games of all time. This new one seems like it'll push the limits of what fear really is even further.

    I pissed myself and could never finish the first one. It surely didn't help playing it in the dark with the surround sound pumped, but.... I dunno if I'm gonna risk it again. :p

    From the oh so very little that they have released it looks like they've added stuff to appease console gamers alot more. Such as a Battle Mech and regenerating health. *sighs*

    LOVED the first fear. Only game to scare me so much that I threw my mouse.

    Eagerly awaiting this one.

    you know, if you get it elsewhere than steam it clocks in at 1.92GB. Much more manageable, and you don't have to mess with them pressing you to unlock the game once it comes out.

    Though, admittedly, I'll buy FEAR2 no matter what, so I wouldn't mind.

    The demo was pretty bitchin', but it seemed much easier than the first, at least on normal. I'm not sure all the gameplay mechanics work as well together. The Mech was awesome though. Using that during multiplay would be a blast.

    It was easier because of the health regen or at least in my mind. At this point I won't be able to handle the full game unless I get the 360 version or wait for parts to come in.

    Ugh, health regen.

    I'm not a steam hater, I'm just old school. I love physical media.

    So... no parallax maps in FEAR2. That.. that pisses me off. The first game was a pioneer in decal tech! FEAR2 craps on the progress that the first game made!

    argh!

    ...this could quite possibly ruin the game for me. I'm hoping the lack of said maps are simply a demo limitation to control install size...

    But with you guys downloading 12GB on steam, I fear my premonitions are true.

    Why does fear only support wide screen and not 1280x1024? i hate playing games with the black bars on top and bottom.

    I played on 1600x1200. I don't have a wide screen monitor though. I also didn't really notice the health regen. I killed everything so fast that I hardly got hurt by anything. The first F.E.A.R. had regen as well. Just up to a certain number i.e. on hard it was regen up to 25 health.

    Did anyone use the "make cover" action during a firefight? it seemed like a waste when it took 5 seconds to flip the table over, or 2 seconds to just shoot the dude in the face and kill him.

    I guess I never noticed the regen because I was busy get my face plastered on the the wall behind me.

    If you thought it was scary in daylight try playing it at 1 in the morning with all the lights off knowing that nobody else is in the building... that is fun times my friend.:D
