!#@%*& DivX

hey guys
easy one, I hope. I am using www.quicksilverscreen.com to watch movies. They have embedded DivX players that you use by copying a download link into a player generator.

When I do this it makes a DivX web player appear. however, while I CAN see the video, I can't hear the audio.

Speakers are up, just downloaded the newest version of DivX both web and regular player, which also installs the latest Codec.

Any suggestions?

DiVX is a video codec only. You need to find out what audio codec they're using.

I strongly suggest you install AC3 Filter, the Radium MP3 codec and the OGG directshow filters.

It may have switched to a paid model in recent years. Skip it.

Doesn't VLC come with a Mozilla plug-in these days?

Don't worry about it. :) It's just a matter of finding the right audio codec. I typically advise against codec packs because they spam a lot of useless shit onto your PC that makes future updates at the mercy of the pack, rather than the actual codec.
