CD drive not working?

Hi there,

My cd/ dvd drive seems to of stopped working on my desktop!

Any ideas how to go about mending it?

Whats the first step I should do?

The pc is a packard Bell, dont know what make the drive is? if I could find the make of the drive I thought about doing a google for the latest drivers etc?

IF you cant get it working then just buy a new one. The are only aboput £20 and easy to fit.
