    I'm not sure that I agree that the economy is the only reason for the increase. I think that the quality of flash games is increasing every day.

    The way companies are developing ads in games are a lot better in design. Meaning that ads in games are more appealing to users and integrated in a way that's less intrusive but dominate enough that you cannot miss it on the screen.

    I hear advertisers love gambling sites because the average pageview is like 8 minutes long. Talk about a killer impression! I would assume the same holds true for Flash games.

    This can also be applied to video games in general; games like Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Skate, Burnout, etc have all seen large rises in in-game advertising. It's a little bit annoying, but not nearly as annoying as the fact that despite all these ads, we still pay $60 or $100 for the damn game.

    You put ads in there to subsidize your cost. Now freaking subsidize OUR cost, you greedy bastards.
