Google launches M-Lab to test ISP throttling

    This is a great idea, however, after two days of trying to use these tests I give up. The M-lab servers are always busy, or they throw an error (IPv6) that I don't know what to do about. I tried the "static list" but don't even get a response from the hyperlinks. I tried "Glastnost" but it timed out.

    This is something that should have been announced in a programmed release. Obviously the whole world is trying it all at once so most people are going to get turned off by the experience of not getting a connect.

    The Google servers are IPv6. If you scroll down and click on some of the ones from Stanford and such, they run on IPv4.

    I couldn't get them to work very well also. Not very impressed with this google release. The site I'm currently using has probably the best tests I've seen come around in a while http://www.ispgeeks.com
