can you change the background on NOTEPAD to black?

im not too good and editing things yet cus i just started but i was wondering if you can change the background on NOTEPAD from white to black and have the default font green. im guessin you would have to go through the registry but idk. anyways i have vista. thanks for the help

    You could try Notepad+.

    Notepad takes its colors from the windows settings. If you want notepad to be old-school terminal style, you'll have to change the default windows text and text background colors. Unfortunately, this would make other programs look terrible, as not all of them are designed with altered clor-schemes in mind.
