Video Conversion Help

I am going to pick one of these up soon as my 5k tax return hits

BUT I got AVI and other videos I need to convert to either one of these formats Mpeg4 or WMV


Which do i convert too for space and quality reasons?


I have roxio 2009 which converts all

    Your AVIs are all MPEG4. They'll probably work.

    As thrax said. AVI is just a type of container and not a codec. MPEG4 is a codec. It's the codec they are talking about when they say:
    Play the most popular video formats: MPEG-4<sup>3</sup>, WMV<sup>3</sup>, protected WMV<sup>3</sup>, MPEG-2**, VOB**, H. 264** (** with optional plug-ins).
    So your container can be .avi, .mpg, .wmv, .mp4 for example it doesn't really matter it's all in how the movie was encoded.
