Windows 7 easier setups

Most of this will be old hat to a lot of you but after testing the new beta on three machines and using both versions I have found the following to help in my setups and make them relatively trouble free.
1) (very obvious) have drivers for your hardware already on a CD/DvD. (Vista drivers work very well. Have both sets though, x32 and x64)
2) After the initial installation run auto updates
3) Set a restore point once the first run is finished.
4) Turn off UAC ( I know, I know ... it's part of testing, do it anyway. We all know what it does)
5) One at a time, load your drivers and test each component.
6) After each is found to work correctly, set a restore point.
7 When the system is running as you want/need, switch UAC back on to what ever level of security you find you're happy with. For me it's only one up from off and acts similar to XP Pro.
This has saved me a lot of arguing with the system when I know I'm loading things it doesn't think I should load. Today I installed a remote desktop service I use and until UAC was off, it simply wouldn't install.
Now I'm sitting at work and logged into my home machine happily moving files from one to the other.
Anyway guys, this is just my 2 cents worth.
