Constant Popups and Deletion

So yesterday I restored my computer to factory settings. However, during the restoration it gave me the option to make a back up file of all my old files. I did so, however I wish to delete them now because I keep getting pop-ups and all the infected files are in that folder. When I go to delete the folder though, it says recycling and then nothing happens. I have no idea how to get rid of this folder....I even deleted the 4 GB backup program in Add/Remove Programs in the control panel. If anyone has a method of deleting this file, I would much appreciate it. Thanks.

Download The Avenger by Swandog46, and save it to your Desktop.
    • Extract avenger.exe from the Zip file and save it to your Desktop.
    • Run avenger.exe by double-clicking on it.
    • The Do not change any check box options!!
    • Copy everything in the Quote box below, and paste it into the Input script here: part of the window:

      Folders to delete:
      C:\MY Backup -- 09-02-04 0245PM

    • Now click the Execute button.
    • Click Yes to the prompt to confirm you want to execute.
    • Click Yes to the Reboot now? question that will appear when Avenger finishes running.
    • Your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it yourself.
    • A log file from Avenger will be produced at C:\avenger.txt and it will popup for you to view when you login after reboot.
    • Please post the content of the logfile.
