    Anybody know how well 7 works on older PC/Laptops?

    Is the hardware criteria as steep as is was with Vista?

    I'm confident in saying that it'd work just fine on a Pentium 3 laptop with 512MB of RAM.

    Cool, I haven't paid much attention to upgrading my laptop OS, since Vista is such a turd. I've been using a Win 7 laptop here at work , Beta testing it against all our District applications and I've really come to like it.

    Are these betas upgrades, or do have to go scorched earth, and format my HD to load them? I've got some software on my laptop I'm not sure I have the key for.....

    You'll have to scorched earth it. You can always dual boot, though.
