I installed my new 60GB OCZ Apex SSD last night. Getting the drive set-up correctly took a little while, but the actual Windows XP install on it was blazing fast. I don't have benchmarks yet. I do think it's safe to say that this sucker is worthwhile. The feel of the system is much quicker.

Completely agree. This drive is very fast and stutter-free. I've been tooling around with it for a while now. :)

I didn't notice any difference between my Raptor and a tweaked Apex Drive.
XP won't install or boot faster. Copying a file to the Apex drive in the background will create more studder than doing it on a Velociraptor.

Good thing is that Vanguard will lauch about 30 % faster on the ssd. Most other games will take the same to launch.

Im still considering returning it and buy me another Raptor to hook in a Raid 0 although they say it won't give much more RL Performance either.

How tweaked, though? Did you perform partition offsetting?
