    use regex to split the strings and then index into each individual name (first/mid/last) using array notation.

    I'm sorry, but I have no idea what regex is, we haven't discussed that in class. This is only the second assignment and I have no programming experience at all. I've been trying to adjust this thing for like an hour, but it hasn't helped. Thanks for offering advice anyways, but do you have any other suggestions or can you explain what regex is?
