Dual Monitor Question

edited January 2004 in Hardware
I got a dual monitor hook up on my 9700, and i was wondering if anybody knows anything about this monitor, like reviews of something. Looks cool but i dont know if i should just connect two LCD's or get this, I need a LCD, i know there exspensive my new desk doesnt allow for much room.

Any other imformation on good LCD'd would be appreciated if you dont think the one im showing is worth the risk or whatever... thanks

How do you setup dual monitors? Just use both the vga out and the dvi out on the video card? Does it automatically display 1/2 of you desktop on each monitor?

yes, as soon as you set it to (right click on desktop, advanced, select monitor and then click 'extend windows desktop onto this monitor')

to connect it you'd need a DVI-I to VGA adapter (~7$ at newegg) then connect it like a regular monitor with 2 VGA cables

No, not everything can be displayed on both monitors. Most games will only use one of the screens. A movie will only play on one screen too, but the other screen will be free to do any windows app you want. Its nice to watch a movie and surf the web at the same time. Dual monitors can definetly improve productivity.
