I was made aware by a friend that it is possible to encode my DVD's using WME into DivX. I did some browsing around google and this forum and haven't found a method of accomplishing this. If anybody has any ideas on how to achieve this please let me know. Thanks :)

WME is a roundabout and not very good way to do it.

Better to use Bitripper or AutoGK.

The program seemed to work like a charm except one issue. The video is completely unviewable and scrambled with a lot of static and mixed up colors and I'm barely able to make out the movie. I'm assuming this has something to do with the DVD's decryption and I read that Handbrake doesn't include internal DVD decryption. This means I'm going to have to use something like DVD Decrypter first to decrypt the DVD and then set Handbrake to use the decrypted files? I'm going to attempt this now but I just wanted to post this incase anyone sees an error in this method. Thanks.

Handbrake uses your existing decryptors to rip movies. If you need to rip them and then convert them this is the guide for windows.

I forgot windows makes you jump through hoops. On the mac it just uses vlc to do the dvd decryption.

Weird I already had DVD Decryptor installed, but anyway after ripping the DVD which file am I supposed to select as the source when using Handbrake because there were multiple files created after decrypting the DVD.

    You select the whole
    * DVD / VIDEO_TS Folder : Use this option to select a DVD drive or a Video_ts folder which is located on your hard drive

Works great, the only other piece of information that I'd like to know is how will I go about doing this same task but instead with a season of a TV show? I'm sure that I will first need to decrypt each DVD for the season but after that, does Handbrake support the ripping of individual episodes? If not perhaps another program will yield the same results? Thanks again for everybody's time.

I haven't actually tried that yet to be honest. You'd have to decrypt the dvd first. Then I'm not sure if handbrake can recognize individual episodes or not. You'll just have to experiment I guess.
