    Those figures are for the total amount of cache present on the CPU - the linked page doesn't specify whether the cache is L2, or L3 - it simply states "8MB cache". 6MB of L3 + 2MB of L2 = 8MB. 6MB L3 + 1MB L2 = 7MB.
    I've seen this on some other marketing nonsense from AMD before, though I can't find it to pin a link just yet.

    I have more Cache in my pocket these days...

    Honestly if it is more L2 cache wouldn't that make the overall package more efficient?
