i have to simulate what is shown in the attachment using simulink.

audio input is taken using 'wave input' block. its output goes to 'low pass filter'. now here is the confusion.... should i use analog filter here or a digital filter. if analog then what should be the order of filter or else which digital filter -- IIR or FIR

Well if it's before the ADC (analog to digital converter), you'll need to make it analog.

And FIR analog filters aren't really possible.
