This is going to be the PREMIER metal event in the midwest, especially for price/band (tickets are going on presale later this week for $19.95). Event is going to be at the Liberty Memorial in KC on May 30 and doors open at 11.

Notable Bands:

Main Stage:
Korn, Buckcherry, Shinedown, Corey Taylor (lead singer of Slipknot/Stone Sour), Theory of a Dead Man, Saving Abel, Rev Theory.

Second Stage:
Drowning Pool, Loaded (Duff McKagan's new project)

Tickets go on sale April 1 at 10am for the presale price for rockaholics (takes two minutes to register as one)

Lodging: I can keep some people in my apt, no biggie, just come and rock out.

    Rockfest isn't metal per say it's more of just the biggest names in rock at the same music festival hence "Rockfest". It's really just a culmination of sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Highly recomended.

    not one metal band on that roster, sorry. im usually down for a good concert but that's a bit of a hike for me. have fun tho.

    on a real metal note; children of bodom, cannibal corpse, and dragonforce will be in west michigan in april. a good month for music around here.
