Outlook Connector

edited April 2009 in Science & Tech
Does anyone have experience with Outlook Connector? I am using Outlook 2003 with a hotmail account and the latest version of Connector (12.1). I can't tell when Connector syncs and it's annoying because my Windows Live Messenger will tell me a new email has arrive in my hotmail account (the little pop up above the system tray) but then there is no new email in outlook. BUT, if I wait about 2-3 minutes it will show up. Pressing send/receive seems to accomplish zilch. In the old days, pressing send/rcv would move things along and any new emails would appear in the inbox - but not anymore. ???

I am guessing because the old version of connector used POP3 which makes emails immediately available upon request, and the new version uses IMAP which syncs automatically but can take its sweet-ass time.

Well - that stinks. I actually think the previous version was IMAP as well.
