No RAID Driver Floppy + Corrupt XP = Ugh
Hey all,
wasn't entirely sure if to post this here or the o/s but here it goes.
Just recently I have had a driver prevent me from loading Windows XP Pro.
It loads to MUP then hangs. From what I gather it's the driver after, being a video driver of some sort.
Long story short, I want to disable this driver in order to fix it in Windows.
But here is the problem, I have a RAID 0 set-up and in order to use Recovery Console from my Windows XP disk, I need a floppy with the driver to detect my array. And I don't have one. I'm not even sure which driver I have anymore because the disk that I thought should work (from the motherboard disk) isn't co-operating.
So what I'm asking is, is there a way to find out what drivers my array are using without Windows?
How can I make a disk without Windows?
Should I buy another HDD, install Windows, then use it to access my Array?
Relevant System Info:
nForce 4 motherboard
RAID 0 array (Western Digital 160gb*2 SATA)
WindowsXP Pro SP3
ASUS motherboard A8N-E
Thanks in Advance,
Liam
PS: worse part is, I have a huge assignment due Tuesday :[ Just my Luck.

To the best of my knowledge, yes.
Long story short:
Floppy Drive Broken, couldn't detect array;
Bought a new hard drive, installed Windows on it;
Moved over all important files, made an nLite disk;
Reformated array and started from scratch.
And that's the extremely simple version. :S
Anyways, if anyone finds themselves in a remotely similar position feel free to private message me and I will gladly help!
Cheers,
Liam
