Half life 1 on steam

edited April 2009 in Gaming
Hi there

I have half life 1, blue shift and opposing force installed of a disk but i have no idea how to register them on to my steam account. I need to so i can get an update which will let me download sven co-op.

I can't buy it again on steam and i was just wondering if there was a way of getting a game properly on steam.

Thanks

Patrick

Are these legit? If not, you may have some trouble, but I don't know anything about getting past the DRM on Steam.

If they are legit and new, look for some codes in the manual. If they're used, the codes in the manual may not work if they've been used before.

Have you tried using the "Activate a product on Steam" option? It is along the bottom bar in your "My Games" tab in Steam.

Mods are a bit different. For Sven Co-op, your going to want to unzip it and move all the game files into:

    C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\YOUR USER NAME\half-life

then restart Steam and you should be good.
