Using Real Player is it possible to stream video to a PC so that it can watch the video real time but not be able save/store the file for future.

If this is possible is there then a way around it so that you can save the streamed data and send it on to other people etc.

Thanks

Jim

P.S. please try & keep the answers basic as my understanding of Real Player & video streaming is less than rudementary. :-/

    On XP, sure, for the first. Real Player files can have DRM embedded.

    Second would be illegal, would have to remove DRM.

    DRM= Digital Rights Management.

    Ok thanks John, so what I'm asking is are there programs out there on the web that can disable/remove DRM.

    I'm not asking where to find them, just if they are freely available, as we need to make something secure.

    Also as far as I'm aware it isn't clear cut in the UK & Europe, whether disabling DRM is illegal, just the states. In fact anti cd piracy software embedded in cds may be breaking the law over here, and the case against DVD Jon in Norway has offically been dropped now much to chargrin of the MPAA.
