Creative SB Live! Hotfix
Creative have released a patch for a few of its Sound Blaster Live! series card drivers. The patch resolves lagging issues between video and audio when playing back DVD-video.
[blockquote]This release is only for Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 users who have drivers with the following file version numbers:
5.12.01.0290
5.12.01.0291
5.12.01.0296

If your driver version is not mentioned above, you need not download this web release.
To check your file version:
Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.
Double-click the System icon.
Click the Hardware tab and then click the Device Manager button (For Windows Me or Windows 98 SE, click the Device Manager tab).
Double-click the Sound, Video and Game controllers icon.
Right-click the audio driver icon.
Click Properties.
Click the Driver tab.
Click the Driver Details or Driver File Details button.
Select c:\windows\system32\drivers\ctaud2k.sys.
The file version is displayed as 5.12.xx.xxxx or 5.12.xx.xxxx-1.42.yyyy (replace xx.xxxx with the last 6 digits from the version number list).
