Standard PC problem

Dont know were to post this problem but anyways...

I have changed from ACPI Multiprocessor to standard PC but my internet does not work with standard PC and i cant change back to ACPI because "standard PC" is the only listed in Device manager :(
any help would be appreciated :bigggrin:

    Once you change to standard PC, you cannot go back to ACPI without reformatting.

    haha well this problem is on my other computer , but since the internet doesnt work on it im using this computer. but both computers are running windows xp and this one can change from standard pc to ACPI anytime...

    Try downloading the chipset and network drivers for the computer. Install the chipset and reboot. Hopefully the network device will be picked up and either install or ask for the drivers.

    On your working PC... what model computer is the one you are having issues with?

    Umm ill get you some details on the non working computer soon...
    i was just wondering why on my other computer when i change to standard pc
    i restart it and it wont start up untill i choose "start from last known configuration".
    Then it starts up but no drivers are installed for standerd PC so it doesn work properly :(

    That is because you've got some kind of driver issue on it as well.
