    Hi there,

As Thrax said in your other thread it sounds like your hard disk is dying or dead. Getting the sony disks will not help you. the chances are that the cds are recovery cds that will re-image your boot partition from an image stored on a hidden partition on the same hard disk. If the hard dis is dead then the CDs are as good as coasters. How old is the laptop? You could replace the hard disk yourself but unless you have a windows cd and installation cds for your other software then you are still out of luck. You need to contact Sony and hope it is still in warrenty. If not they will be able to fix it but they will charge you for the repair.
