This is a first for me, so please excuse me if I screw it up. I am trying really hard to get my other PC up and running, and so far I have had absolutely no success. I am not sure why it started, but when I booted it up yesterday, I could only get as far as the welcome screen. I can get into safe mode, and everything works as advertised, but I have not been able to start normal mode. I have tried just about everything I have found through google, and still no go. Maybe someone can help me out.

Before it started this problem did you do any system updates, install any software or driver changes?

Hi kryyst... Thanks for the response. I have done no updates other than possibly auto window updates, but now I am beginning to think I may have had a power hit or something. I have tried to load a new hard drive from scratch, and I keep getting the famous blue screen... I have disconnected all non-essential periphials (ie usb etc) change to new memory, new HD, and even using a new CD/DVD drive. Might be easier to build new system.... But thanks for the answer. appreciate it.

Have you run memtest86 to see if your ram is ok? Just to make sure you have put in a brand new harddrive and tried to do a new windows installation onto it and it's blue screening during the installation?
