New Ebay scam

edited January 2004 in Science & Tech
A new e-mail scam is doing the rounds, this time it’s pretending to be from 'EBay' the popular online auctioneers. Myself being a magnet for all things bogus, received this so called "Fraud Alert!" and hadn't actually realised it wasn't genuine. I did however just delete it so no harm no fowl, but you've been warned.

[blockquote]The email, titled "Fraud Alert!" purports to be from Ebay and suggests it's opening an investigation into people using your account fraudulently.

But there's some clear give away signs. First, it appears to have been written by an extremely drunken INQUIRER hack, because i before e except after c means receive is misspelt.
