Hey guys! Haven't posted in a few years!
Hi Gargoyle, Hi BJ, Hi Thrax!
Um...I Have a processor picked out, I think:
AMD Phenom II X4 810 2.6GHz Socket AM3 Model#:HDX810WFGIBOX Quad Core.

VideoCard: EVGA GeForce GTX 275 1792MB Model#:017-P3-1175-AR

Memory: Haven't picked it out, but I'll be going with the fastest supported FSB for this CPU/Motherboard configuration, of course.

Motherboard, however...well, I'm completely clueless. I have ALWAYS been a big fan of the NForce chipset, but that's entirely based on my experiences in the past, and not on any current information. If y'all told me to buy Asus, I wouldn't question it. SO...what's the greatest AM3 compatible motherboard out there right now?

I may ONE DAY run SLI with the video card I've chosen.

Thanks guys!!!!

The very best AM3 board (imho) is the DFI LP DK 790FXB-M3H5. Hell of an overclocker, and DFI just makes great things anyhow.

    Welcome back. ;)

    Skittles!

The DFI board is good. I'm also partial to the GIGABYTE GA-MA790FXT-UD5P. We use it as our AM3 test bench and it has been flawless.

Right now there aren't any real SLI AM3 options. Supposedly ASUS will be introducing something really late this summer or early fall.
