Sync Back SE or other Sync Software

I've just got a 1TB internal drive to compliment my 1tb external, now, the plan is to have these two drives essentially mirror each other.

I say essentially as I don't want to try and duplicate a proper RAID 1 setup or anything, I just want the ability to keep some specific folders on both drives in synch.

I know I can do this via Robocopy and via it's GUI, however, a friend told me it's pretty basic and not good as something like Sync Back SE...

So, who has used / is using these kina apps and can tell me which to go for / offer advice?

It's mainly for keeping my vinyl rips and cassette rips in two places - it takes flipping ages to rip vinyl and tape and clean it up and stuff - hence the desire to duplicate it across two drives (and dvds and stuff occasionally too)

I'll be talking about perhaps 400gb or so of data, looking to synch automatically at specific intervals (every night at 3am or something) and the ability to synch on demand if I've just made lots of changes...

Recommendations?

Oh, cool - that looks quite nice actually. I'll give that a go first and if it doesn't have advanced enough options then I'll consider SyncBack. My requirements are pretty simple though, so I reckon it will do the job :)

    Cheers!

The only advance option I use is scheduling. Its not built into synctoy but you can run it as a scheduled task. There are then extensions you can add to run all folder pairs or just some. I can't remember how it works of the top of my head but I use it to back up data to a second hard disk and share profiles between my laptop and desktop.

I use Syncback on a lot of machines at my company. You probably don't even need the pay version to mirror like you want to. Piece of cake to setup, and it just works.
