Downloadable videos not playing in WMP 9?

I've always encoded my videos on my website ( www.loudmouthtim.com ) to play in Windows Media Player 9, using Windows Movie Maker.

A month or so I started seeing a problem. If I try to download a video from my site, it'll open, and maybe play the first second of video, then freeze and it won't work. Nothing has changed on the site or the videos to explain this problem.

This is with XP Home SP2, IE6, and Windows Media Player 9.

A laptop I have with the RC of 7 #7100 will download and play the videos fine, and if I play them from my computer they work fine.

But they don't want to download and play in WMP 9 all of a sudden.

Any ideas? Some software change in Windows maybe?

Upgrade to WMP11 and try again. No cookies for ancient software.
