Projector / YIR video
I am buying a 50' SVIDEO cable so we can run the Projector much easier than last few years. Also, I have some ideas to mount the projector using pipe clamps instead of zip ties. As long as I am around and people ask REALLY nicely, I am open to running the Projector.

yea i wanted to talk to you about a "real" mount since we'll have a "real" projector screen this year for IC:YiR video
Trust me... is we can swing using my desktop, EVERYTHING will look awesome. Since I plan on having my rig in the mix instead off in a corner, I will try to place my rig as close to the projector spot as possible so we can get this thing done nicely!!!
But I don't like female condoms!
.......
the video is 800x600 because I assumed the projector did computer resolutions. I guess that makes me the ass.
Yea, component is what we will have to use. Q give me a call when you can, I'm home all day. I believe you have my number.
We'll have to downscale somehow, or else there will be EXTREME amounts of cropping to the video. Essentially, we have two options. Loose much of the image during playback, or start the project over at 640X480 resolution.
:shakehead
NTSC standard: http://www.strata.com/support/3dmanual/ch13/ch13_7.html
The projector is HD, so does Premiere let you do any HD resolutions?
doing the video in HD would make it 50 gigs ryder, as now we might break 20gigs
anyways, enough talk about the video in this thread.
BACK TO TOPIC:
DON'T FORGET YER DEODERANT!!!
800 x 600 is not a recognized resolution with regular "TV Type" output.
800 is too tall for a regular TV, if you put that res, into the Composite (the yellow RCA video in jack), S-Video, or component inputs, it will "stretch or shrink" the output to accomodate the mode you are in.
This will result in funky looking stuff, because the video was made in 800 x 600. This is what FC does not want.
FC would have to re-encode (read.. do the whole project over) in a different Res to use this type of output. He can't just tell the program.. "hey, convert everything to this now" they have to manually start over.
I assumed your projector Q was for computers, using VGA, DVI or HDMI and normal computer resolutions like 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 etc, and not a TV projector using composite, S-Video, Component using resolutions 640x480, 720x480, 1280x720, 1920x1080 etc.
the video we did is 800x600, not a standard TV resoultion, but standard computer resolution. running it @ 1080i would be fugly.
1080i is interlaced 540p resoultion.
If it's not needed, I'd still like to hire you to transport a few things to the LAN.
this is why I Icrontic.
If you don't want it, you don't want it, but this screen would let anyone within 100ft see your video clearly, while a larger garage door or untreated canvas will still only be clearly visible when standing right next to it. Let me know.
FYI, I had my Canvas screen up for my cousin's birthday party last month. It was VERY good quality... not as good as a real projection screen like yours but I know from 50 feet away the image was still REALLY good.
The difference is SIZE. If Fatcat thinks 52" screen is good enough, cool. If not... With my projector and canvas I can display 165" diagonal as apposed to 52".
Q i'm gonna pickup your canvas
CB if you want to bring your screen you can.
I dont know which I will use til i have both here
do I need to have a Mortal Kombat?
^this.
I'll put it in the car if there is extra room then, so that you have options.
