computer getting very slow,fast search hijacking my search engine

everytime i start my computer "fast search " has reinstalled itself as my search engine. but... its the slowness that bothers me

    Since FastSearch.cc appears to be a variant of CoolWebSearch, the easiest way to regain control of your system would be to download and run a program called CWShredder, created by Merijn of Spywareinfo.com. Merijn has an entire page devoted to CoolWebSearch and its many variants.

    CWSShredder is old news, it's no longer being used to CWS variants/viruses.

    @tommy: Do the following instructions and I'll help you with your computer.

    • Click here to download HijackThis and save it to your desktop.
    • Double-click on HJTInstall.exe to run it.
    • HJTInstall.exe will install HijackThis to here C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis
    • Click install
    • HJTInstall.exe will create an icon to your desktop.
    • When the installation is ready, it will start HijackThis.
    • When HijackThis is opened, click Do a system scan and save a logfile.
    • Post the log here.
    • Do not fix anything with HijackThis, until I tell to you!
