I have an ASUS P5B Deluxe LGA 775 mobo and Windows 7 for my OS. The drivers for Vista refuse to install, saying they don't support my hardware. Halp?

Are you sure you've got the right drivers 32bit/64bit? Because my computer uses Sound max audio (different mobo) and it works fine in windows 7. I didn't even have to manually install the drivers windows 7 picked them up automatically.

Yeah, it's 32bit.
Definitely won't install.
//edit: Just using my Sennheiser headset for now and routing the speakers through that. Works well enough.

There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Have you tried getting the driver directly from the sound card/codec maker's site?
