Burning a CD

I recently tried to burn an audio CD thru Windows Media Player. It seemed to burn, but the files don't show up, and it won't play. I also tried burning it thru Nero, but it comes up that I am using the wrong sort of CD. I am using CD-R discs. I had used them in the past on the same computer with no problem. Any ideas why it has started to be a problem?

My guess is that while you're trying to burn a regular audio cd to play in a cd player you are actually burning an MP3 format cd. I can't remember where the setting is in Media Player to switch that but it's there.

Generally speaking an auido cd will hold about 16 songs. An MP3 cd can hold over a hundred.
