Not my week...
OK, this week started with a 3-day lon gproblem with my sister's PC, had a failed video card trade on AMDforums, a motherboard problem on my girlfriend's PC, and now...
My notebook doesn't work with a wireless PC card any more. I really worried yesterday because the thing wouldn't boot beyond a blank screen. I booted without the PCMCIA card plugged in, and it booted. As soon as I plugged the card in, it locked up in Windows. I thought the card had gone bad, so I bought a new one. That one causes the same problems. Could it possibly be some setting or something, other than a hardware failure, or is it time to just RMA every PC part I own...?

Hang in there, you'll get it.
On the notebook. Remove the card, boot, unintall the driver, re-boot, intall the driver, power off, intall card, turn on.
My Toshiba has suddenly taken a dislike to pcmcia cards before and it is real picky about having the driver installed first.
