:hair::hair::hair:, I am sooo scared now. I will install all of the Norton crap right away. Just for safety, I will also keep running Windows Defender and Windows Firewall on top of them.

By the way, I heard Symantec and McAfee are both releasing hardware accelerated SPU (security processing unit) cards. Is that true? :vimp:

Do you also think that the Paypal and BofA emails I receive every other day could also be fake? I have been resetting my passwords by their request since so many months but my very first passwords are still unchanged when I check my accounts. And, the collection agencies started to become really annoying in the last several weeks. I am starting to think that there is something wrong. :vimp:

    Chris,

That's funny, there was an entertaining forum thread where a few of us pondered the possibility that some of the commercial anti virus companies may occasionally leak a security hole or two while talking to a nerd at a convention, next thing you know, you got another need for your product.

I'm not saying that goes on, but I at least ponder the possibility from time to time.

If Microsoft is serious about offering better protection built into the OS (as they should), Symantec might want to think of a new business model. God forbid, develop some software that adds value to the user experience!
