It sounds like more of Rambus' famous patent ambushes to be honest. The Feds have previously ruled in favor of Rambus on a couple occasions, so there's no history of hostility there to prop up an argument that the USPTO is biased against Rambus.
I get a little tired of all the suing and legal cases amongst these manufacturers. Surely they can make money without doing this... TBH I think it's predominently driven by the companies greed?
