AMD's Thorton picture up on web

Pictures of the AMD "Thorton" chip, which the firm claimed never existed earlier this year, have appeared on a web site.
Hexus.net has a pic of what appears to be a Barton but only with half the level two cache, that is to say 256K.

    OK so I dont get it. 1/2 the L2 cache is the same as a TBred. Whats so different?

    i think one of the difference is that that chip have 128 l1 cache, instead of just 64 for the tbreds

    I dont know how much L1 cache improves performance like we all know what more L2 does.

    A bigger core would help with cooling.
