I have a concern about using a test assumption of ambient temperature at 23.6 +- .4 0 C or 67-69 o F. This sounds more like an old-fashioned mainframe computer environment. In most of the USA (other parts of the world are probably similar), this assumption is not valid for anyone who is following AC cooling recommendations (78-80 o F.). for personal, or office environments. In Texas and most of the South that applies about 9 months out of the year. In most other parts of the USA, except New England, the Rockies (above 6,000 ft), and the Far West/Northwest, it applies about 6 months of the year. The rest of the time we are likely talking about heating recommendations which in fact are in that range. So 3-6 months out of the year the most important testing environment assumption is valid. The rest of the time it is invalid. It might be appropriate to rerun the tests using an ambient temperature assumption which is more widely used in most user environments.
