Boardgameday
If you're my Facebook friend, you've probably seen my Boardgameday events show up in your feed. I want to let my IC boardgaming friends know that you may attend these, if you wish. I know it's tough for out-of-towners to attend, but if you happen to be in town when I'm having one or something...
Basically a Boardgameday follows a pretty regular pattern: It's always on a Saturday, usually once a month. We start playing Boardgames (from my collection of cool Euro-style strategy games) at 1pm, take a break for dinner at 5 or 6, then play more games after dinner until there aren't enough people let to get in another game.
We are a fun group of boardgamers who try to avoid any personal conflict, and the environment is one of encouragement and learning. It sounds sappy, but if you've played my table at EPIC, then you know that it works well.
If we have too many people for one game, I split the group, and my wife runs a seperate table. We also have contingency plans for three tables, but that's not happened yet.
If you have any questions, just let me know, and if you would like to attend, just request an invite from the Facebook Events interface.

*I'm actually looking at starting a boardgame night of my own so it's nice to see some fellow Icrontian boardgamers out there doing it as well.
**I just bought Smallworld and Last Night On Earth at Gencon this past weekend.
