Windows and SSH E-Mail

so my school ece address requires a unix system to access. as such, i can access it by doing a secure shell into unix and logging on from there.

I've been using putty and the mail app pine, and they suggest just mail forwarding to your primary account, but several prof's REQUIRE you to e-mail them from this silly ass unix account. so anyways, the question is:

does anyone know of a windows mail client - i.e. eudora, outlook, the bat, etc. that can log into a unix web account to DL mail?

Silly point, but why not spoof your e-mail address, so it looks like it was sent from the school server? I highly doubt they are going to go checking the headers for IP addresses to make sure that it was sent from the *nix machine...
