2 network cards?

Well totally iggy about networks. Only done pc2pc. I have a friend who would like 2 network main rig with lappy. main rig mobo has inbuilt nic which cable modem is connected to. Is it possible to add another nic 2 pci slot and use that to connect lappy 2 main rig?

    Yep, just need to create a network bridge and connect them via a crossover cable.
    I ran my Shuttle and my main rig like that so that my Shuttle had internet access.
    The network wizard in XP will set everything up pretty easily after connecting the 2 together with the crossover cable.

    Thanx guys. Have done networks but never tried using 2 nic on same rig. Now learnt something new again :wave:
