Banned .exe's and Personal Anti-virus.

Had a network where I took PAV off a workstation about once a month. Finally pushed out pav.exe as a banned .exe and haven't had it for a few weeks now. Am I on to something? It was just a shot in the dark.

    why would you not have ALWAYS been using software restriction policy?

    I didn't ask if software restriction is a good idea. I asked if a ban on pav.exe works. I had read elsewhere that it hadn't.

    Banning it isn't going to negatively effect you so if banning it seems to be solving the problem keep the ban on.
