Printer not staying online...hmmm

Here is the setup...(guess i should change my sig!)
Got M70 Laptop (LT) in a PD01X docking station.
I have 4 USB's in...
Printer
Keyboard/mouse
PDA cradle
Video adapter
Now the printer keeps going of line...like it disappears and if i unplug and replug it shows up again...but if i tool around and try to print something...then i get teh little ?...and the printer is gone again...
thoughts?

You don't say what kind of printer it is, but those symptoms on a USB port can sometimes be cause by power management. Have you tried turning off power managment on the USB root hubs?

Nope...havent but good thought...
Right now think i figured it out...there was a bad driver....and a communication fix found another on their website...so far so good ...it was a bit to find but finally got there....
everything is plugged in...and seems to be working...will check the PM when my USB enclosure comes w/ my LT cooler/hub...thinking issues may pop up.....
